The mission of the University of Cambridge is to contribute to society through the pursuit of education, learning and research at the highest international levels of excellence. Main tasks in the project
UCAM will serve as the clinical data centre for IDEA-FAST, creating a bespoke database system to support the pilot and clinical studies, facilitate study management and support data processing and analysis. In parallel, a patient-facing data portal will be constructed, allowing patients to enter data directly as appropriate. The database systems will be hosted and maintained by the Cambridge Clinical Trials Unit database programming team under the leadership of Dr Thomas Hiemstra, in a highly secure data hosting environment, compliant with regulatory and ethical requirements. UCAM will also provide expertise in the measurement of depression, anxiety and other behavioural symptoms in people with IBD and other chronic inflammatory disease.
