VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland Ltd is a state-owned and controlled non-profit limited liability company established by law and operating under the ownership steering of the Finnish Ministry of Employment and the Economy. VTT is an RTO whose activities are focused on three areas: Knowledge intensive products and services, Smart industry and energy systems, and Solutions for natural resources and environment. VTT is impact-driven and takes advantage of its wide multi-technological knowledge base to strengthen Finnish and European industrial competitiveness. One strategic research direction is Citizen Centric Care, with components such as personalised and precision medicine as well decision support systems for health and wellness. Over the years, VTT has gained vast experience from participation and coordination of numerous European projects including R&D Framework Programme projects and other thematic frameworks and programmes. Main tasks in the project

VTT has the role of co-leader of WP4 (Device-specific data analytics) and as such will oversee and strongly participate in the tasks related to analytics for generating and comparing the various digital endpoint candidates from the different devices. Furthermore, VTT develops novel AI and ML methods in WP7 (leading task 7.3) to improve digital endpoint calculations and estimations. Finally, in WP3 and WP4, VTT contributes to the different device options by its bed sensor and mobile-phone based daily activity assessment methods. Visit Website
